Dr. V. N. Sanjai
Dr. V.N. Sanjai is Assistant Professor and Research Guide at the Post Graduate Department of Botany & Research Centre, Sanatana Dharma College. He has a teaching experience of over 10 years at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels apart from 7 years’ prior experience as H.S.S.T (Botany) at N.S.S. Higher Secondary School, Kannur (2002-2009). He is a recipient of Junior and Senior Research Fellowships from the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India (1995-2000). He pursued research at the Botanical Survey of India, Coimbatore for which he was awarded Ph.D. (Bharathiyar University, 2000). Several journal publications, chapters in edited books, conference papers and substantial contributions to the taxa testify to his research expertise. Dr. V.N. Sanjai has held several academic and administrative positions in his career. At present, he is a Member of the UG and PG Boards of Studies (Microbiology), University of Kerala. He is also the Joint Coordinator of the IQAC, S.D. College and an elected member of the College Council.
Plant Diversity, plant taxonomy, ethnobotany, parasitic plants, nomenclature, conservation, restoration ecology, forest ecology, ecosystem correction, corridor correction etc.
· Dr. V.N. Sanjai is a Collaborating cum Co-Investigator at the International and Inter University Centre for Natural Resources Management (IIUCNRM), University of Kerala.
· He is a Life Member of the Kerala Botanical Society.
· He has served as a member of the PG Board of Studies (Botany), University of Kerala.
· He has been a Member of the UG and PG Boards of Studies (Botany), S.H. College, Thevara
· Dr. V.N. Sanjai has served as Convener of the Malpractice Prevention Squad, University of Kerala.
