The college has a very active centre for career guidance and placement that helps students to find out suitable educational and career options available. Prospective employers conduct regular seminars on the recent career opportunities. They also select students through interviews. Students get information about various courses conducted by universities all over India, scholarships, competitive examinations, and job opportunities from the centre. They can also make use of the internet facilities and send online applications for various jobs. The centre is attached to the college library and is coordinated by Mr. Damu Chandran C. , Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce with the help of a committee of 20 students headed by Principal.

The Sanatana Dharma College has a well equipped General Library as well as department libraries. The Library Advisory Committee has been set up in accordance with the norms laid down by the expert committee on College Libraries appointed by the Govt. of Kerala. It consists of the Principal, Five Heads of Departments (In rotation for one year), Librarian (UGC) and a student representative. Mr. Arun Kishore is the official librarian (UGC) of S. D. College.
A Yoga and counseling centre is functioning under the women’s studies cell in the college. Yoga sessions are being conducted with expert trainers from outside.
To prevent any type of activities that comes under ragging, constant monitoring is done through the Anti Ragging Cell, which is constituted by the teachers of S. D. College. No event of ragging has so far been reported owing to constant vigil and effort of the members of the anti-ragging cell.
Students pursuing higher education will have a hassle-free mechanism to raise grievance portal complaints against the educational ambience provided to them, with the University Grants Commission (UGC) announcing an online grievance portal. The initiative aims at transparency in admissions and prevention of unfair practices in colleges, and each college has been asked to appoint a nodal officer to monitor and respond to grievances students post on the online portal.

As per the directives of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India a Complaints Committee has been constituted in the college. Girl students and lady teachers are free to approach this committee in case they face any sexual harassment. Dr. Bindu Nair, Associate Professor of English is the coordinator.
The College Level Monitoring Committee (CLMC) has been constituted as per university guideline. CLMC monitors the continuous assessment system and address the grievances related to the continuous assessment (CA) marks/attendance Dr. C. Krishnakumar, HOD of the Department of Chemistry is the present coordinator.The CLMC of SD College keeps all matters related to the continuous assessment system updated.
The college has a vibrant centre for women studies that takes care of the particular problems that are faced by women, who now constitute a sizeable chunk of the student population in the college. The centre organizes seminars on contemporary issues for the girls students. The centre aims making the girl students empowered and independent in their future life. The centre coordinates awareness programmes among girl students in collaboration with medical practitioners, legal experts and social activists. Every Year the centre organizes Womens Day in which the members get a chance to exhibit their talents. The centre runs a psychological counselling centre that uses the expertise of a professional counselor.
